You’ve come to study in Sheffield. How exciting! It’s even more exciting that you’re looking to join a church! (at least we really hope that’s how you’ve ended up on this blog).
If you’d like to join us in person to get to meet people (from 2m away with masks on) then why not come along to a Sunday evening service. To ensure we can comply with social distancing rules you’ll need to sign up, but you can find out all about it here.
Who are we?
Whats going on for students?
We think that CCE is a great church for students and we know that having students join our family is one of the ways God really blesses and encourages us. Students at CCE are offered extra chances to get to know the Lord though his word (and think particularly about how that applies to student life and to the world of young professionals) through a student group called “The Training Field” as well as one to one with an older Christian.
Our biggest hope though is that our students will grow as part of the body of Christ along with the rest of the church. To this end we’ll encourage you to be regularly attending Sunday services, serving in different ministry teams and, if you feel you can, to join a midweek bible study and prayer group (which we call Growth Groups) made up of people from every age and stage in church.
How do I choose a church?
We would love you to come and join our family at CCE but we know there are loads of great churches in Sheffield and so we’ve put together a little booklet called “How to choose a church” to offer some brief biblical wisdom on what to look for in a church that we hope will be really helpful. You can download it here.
